Artists are a focal point to any festivals, and with physical events and celebrations being canceled this year, they are losing jobs as a result.
If you or someone you know is an artist who is heavily affected by the pandemic in terms of financial and other types of resources, here is a list of some of the many available support:
- #CanadaPerforms – The National Artists Center is accepting applications until April 20 this year for the #CanadaPerforms program. This program offers artists and authors a platform to upload their art to the NAC’s official Facebook page.
- Music Together – This is an Ontario-wide funding program that gives artists a platform to give live-stream performances. Music Together is a virtual concert that will pay in-need artists. They will also provide a link to where you can donate as well.
- Artists Relief Project – This project provides an international funding program for artists affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Unison Fund – This funding program offers multiple resources to support mainly the Canadian community.
These support programs for artists provide a link where people can also donate monetary resources to help artists that are unfortunately affected by the pandemic.
