Ottawa 2017 billboards a sign of the times
New welcome signs will greet motorists entering gateways to City of Ottawa for the next two years
“With just under a year to go, we’re painting the town Ottawa 2017,” said Mayor Watson. “From the moment people enter City limits, we want them to feel welcome and excited for these once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.”
Canada’s 150th celebrations will offer Canadians and visitors from around the world an exceptional and memorable year of high-caliber experiences. It will bring a record number of visitors to the capital throughout 2017 to celebrate this important milestone for our country.

Five 2.4m x 1.2m (8ft x 4ft) signs will be installed in the coming weeks at the following locations:
- Highway 7 Eastbound (west of Hazeldean Rd.)
- Highway 174 Westbound (west of Cumberland Ferry)
- Highway 416 Northbound (north of Dilworth Rd.)
- Highway 417 Eastbound (east of Richardson Rd. underpass)
- Highway 417 Westbound (west of Rockdale Rd. underpass)
