Funding Opportunities

ACH Program
The Ottawa 2017 Arts, Culture and Heritage Investment Program is a new, one time funding opportunity available to eligible groups in Ottawa’s bilingual and culturally diverse arts, cultural and heritage sectors for projects in Ottawa during 2017 celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial. In partnership with Ottawa 2017 and its lead partner, CIBC, the program will be stewarded by the cultural alliance of the AOE Arts Council, the Council of Heritage Organizations in Ottawa and the Ottawa Arts Council.

Civic Events Funding
In honour of this milestone, the Ottawa 2017 Bureau is proudly investing $150,000 towards the Ottawa Civic Events Funding Program to help local organizations plan unique celebrations for Canada’s Sesquicentennial all across the city. We will also provide pageantry kits that we call “Festival in a Box” to help integrate your events into our memorable programming.

Ottawa – let’s roll out the red carpet and get dressed up for the big party! As we gear up for Canada’s big birthday, banners, flags, street signs and hand-painted murals have already begun to pop up throughout the City. Our vision is to ‘paint the town’ with colour and pride. And, we need your enthusiasm and creativity to make this happen! Think big! Think bold! 150 Youth Exchanges for Canada’s 150th
The Ottawa 2017 Bureau is partnering with Experiences Canada (formerly known as SEVEC) to bring an unprecedented 150 youth exchange groups to Ottawa for Canada’s Sesquicentennial.

This means up to 4,500 young Canadians will get the chance to visit their Capital and celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
